General terms and conditions – Room Booking

For peace of mind If a booking is cancelled during the cancellation period due to a government COVID related travel restriction, you will be credited with the amount of the booking for a future stay or chose a refund.

  • All reservations are subject to a non-refundable deposit of €200
  • Full payment is needed 7 days before booking.
  • Once full payment is made no refund are available. Credit may be used in exceptional circumstances.
  • Cancellations must be received in writing by email to reservations@thewicklowescape.com
  • Cancellations are not valid until a guest has received a Cancellation Confirmation Email from The Wicklow Escape
  • As credit card details are not stored by The Wicklow escape, guests will need to give their card details again to receive any refund due under the cancellation policy for prepaid reservations.

We are honoured that many guests consider a stay at The Wicklow Escape for such special occasions – from significant birthdays and anniversaries to engagements and honeymoons. However, each booking makes up a significant part of such a small business. Our food is ordered from suppliers weeks in advance so they can manage stock, the rooms are known to book out months in advance, and considering the administrative load involved for a small company, the cancellation policy is never waivered no matter how tragic or unfortunate circumstances may be.
The Wicklow escape is not responsible for any forces of nature that may cause the hirer to cancel.
Therefore guests are strongly advised to obtain Travel Insurance to cover the cost of any cancellation fees that will be applied in case of cancellation by a guest.
If for any other reason The Wicklow escape has to cancel a booking, a full refund will be given.

Pets: Please note that there is a no pet policy at the property as we have our own resident pooch who likes it that way.

General terms and conditions

All rates quoted are subject to availability and alteration. All special offers quoted are limited and subject to availability and may be subject to a minimum night stay.

While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, the Wicklow escape does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information and descriptions of the property, services and products.

We welcome under 18’s if they are accompanied by an adult or responsible guardian and stay in a room exclusively for their party.

Venue Hire

30% booking deposit is required to hold the dates  – This is non-refundable if you cancel within 90 days of your hire start date.

Further 20% required 90 days before the start date
Full Balance required 60 days before the event.

A refundable security deposit of €800 will also be required to cover any damage/breakages that may occur during your stay. This amount will be returned to you within 48 hours of your departure. Your credit card details will be held on the system to cover any damage to the property during your stay with us.

Cancellation Policy

The hirer is responsible to pay cancellation fees as follows:

Cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival 100 per cent of the full hire fee is due to The Wicklow escape
Cancel less than 60 days prior to arrival booking your 50% deposit will not be refunded.
Cancel less than 90 days prior to arrival booking your 30% deposit will not be refunded.
A €100 administration and handling fee will apply if cancelled before 90 days.

The cancellation policy applies to all reasons for cancellation.
The Wicklow escape is not responsible for any forces of nature that may cause the hirer to cancel or any government directives to close.
If for any other reason The Wicklow escape has to cancel a booking, a full refund will be given.

Requirements of Hire:

If the venue is being rented in order to teach yoga or similar activity, must supply the Wicklow escape with appropriate insurance paperwork to show they are covered to teach and work with the public (teachers insurance). Please send this in within 2 weeks of confirming your booking to reservations@thewicklowescape.com

Vouchers

All vouchers are non-refundable. The Wicklow Escape reserves the right to alter dates, prices and services offered. As per the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019, vouchers expire after 5 years.

  • Vouchers are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase.
  • Gift vouchers can only be exchanged for goods or services. Please note that they cannot be used to purchase another voucher.
  • Please note the expiry date – vouchers cannot be reissued once expired and vouchers that have expired will not be accepted.
  • Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Vouchers are the sole responsibility of the holder, The Wicklow Escape accepts no responsibility for vouchers that are lost or mislaid and they will not be replaced.
  • At time of booking, guest must identify themselves as a voucher holder when making their reservation and quote the voucher number.
  • Vouchers may be used for more than one transaction and the balance will be reduced accordingly. Cash refunds are not permitted.
  • Gift vouchers can only be exchanged for goods or services. Please note that they cannot be used to purchase another voucher.
  • For online vouchers, the voucher email must be presented upon arrival at property.
  • Vouchers that have been altered, tampered with, or damaged in any way will not be accepted.
  • The Wicklow escape reserves the right to alter, change and/or add to the terms and conditions of this voucher at any time without notifying the holder.
  • Redemption of the voucher is strictly subject to availability and at the venues discretion. Supplements may apply at restricted times for example, public holidays and special events.
