Wedding and Events Coordinator
As part of our ongoing pursuit of excellence and our growth in intimate bespoke weddings and events, we are looking for a wedding and Events executive to join the team at The Wicklow Escape.
We are looking for someone with a good sales background, highly organised and a solid knowledge of software systems. We also want someone who is creative and has a passion for making memorable experiences for our guests. A real people person as our team works just like a big family.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the sales process from initial email to booking.
- Deliver exceptional customer care and guest service
- Operate the venue booking systems (Booking Factory)
- Communicate with the wedding couple and event lead from the initial booking stages through to the event.
- Create an online portal for each booking to streamline communications
- Assist with the wedding and event day set up and ensure the event runs smoothly
- Problem solving and dealing with guest enquiries, requests and expectations by phone/email
- Facilitate venue viewings
- Assist clients with menu planning, food and beverage coordination, table arrangements, decoration options, etc.
- Source feedback pre-event and post-event meetings with clients and team to determine potential enhancements to the guest experience
- Prepare and issue weekly call sheets for the team.
- Work with our marketing manager to get great content for our social channels.
Qualifications:
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Creative flare
- Minimum of 1-2 years previous Wedding or Events experience
- Solid knowledge of Front Office Booking System Procedures
- Highly organised
- Excellent Microsoft office skills; Word, Excel, and booking systems

Assistant Manager
As part of our ongoing pursuit of excellence and our growth in intimate bespoke weddings and events, we are looking an assistant manager with a view to promotion to general manager.
This is a hands on role initially whilst you work with our team and hire new staff for the busy season. We are looking for someone with a good hospitality background both in hotel and restaurant managment, highly organised and a solid knowledge of software systems. We also want someone who has a passion for making tailored memorable experiences for our guests. A real people person as our team works just like a big family.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Include:
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in all aspects of the venue operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will assist in managing staff, budgets, organising back of house, housekeeping and facilities and special events while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist in managing and training staff, including hiring and scheduling
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, the chef and reservations to ensure smooth operations
- Manage budgets, financial plans, and projections
- Create and implement strategies for increasing revenue and occupancy
- Supervise special events, meetings, and conferences
- Maintain compliance with venue policies, safety regulations, and labour laws
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and address any concerns or complaints
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, excel and hotel management software
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
