Restorative Yoga & Afternoon Tea

Relish this opportunity immersed in mother nature’s finest with a one of a kind experience.  What better way to spend the day than in our luxurious mountain lodge, The elbowroom escape, with delightful afternoon tea, a gentle yoga class followed by a woodland walk in the beautiful Irish countryside.

Gentle Yoga

Starting off with a gentle restorative yoga class led by Amanda Marren, this incredibly relaxing yoga is suitable to all levels of experience including beginners with limited mobility. Expect to feel nourished, grounded and relaxed.

Delicious Afternoon Tea

You will be treated to an affair of warming teas and coffee, paired with delicate canapes, homemade cakes, pastries and elegant delicacies made by our in-house chef. Served in our larch cabin, nestled upon the Wicklow Mountains you will enjoy the view of the Glen of Immal and our beautiful gardens.

After tea, we will wander through acres of greenery in the beautiful Irish countryside during a gentle woodland walk.

Enjoy this beautiful afternoon as a great way to celebrate Mothers Day with your mam in style.

The class details

The class will begin with a gentle warm-up to get you connected to your breath and find your body rhythm. It will then be followed by a warming and gentle Hatha flow especially designed to mobilise the spine, joints and open your heart chakra.

Finishing with some grounding poses to relax and lengthen the muscles, you will have the opportunity to ease out of the poses as you ‘roll around’ gently for a while, before slowly transitioning towards a few healing and relaxing restorative poses, a gentle Nidra practice and finally, for utter relaxation – Shavasana.

The class is for all levels.

Lisa is queenbee of The elbowroom in Dublin and The elbowroom escape in Wicklow. She is the proverbial Duracell Bunny, teacher, potter, gardener, baker, health enthusiast and passionate foodie. But first and foremost, proud mother to two fabulous children.

The elbowroom escape is also Lisa's home and she can be often spotted knee-deep in some kind of muck, hosting retreats, writing or brewing a variety of concoctions in her cabin.

She built her pottery studio after studying in Dublin and has been focusing on throwing the tableware for the kitchens and guests at The escape.
