The Wicklow Escape’s highest priority is the health, safety and security of our guests, employees and business partners. Both in our safety procedures and cancellation policies, we work to ensure your stay is as safe as possible. If government policy changes then our cancellation policy will provide you with the assurance you need to refund or credit your booking.
We continuously review and follow the government guidelines to ensure a safe place for our guests.
All visitors to the Wicklow escape must have reservations to include full contact details allowing full compliance with track and trace.
Our staff are fully trained and adhere to the board Failte safety charter.
For guest assurance, we ask all guests to take an antigen test on the morning before arrival and send us a photo of the test. This is for both your and our staff’s protection. The picture of the negative test can be texted to +353 (83) 375 4372.
The Wicklow Escape would like to give our guests the freedom to decide whether they would like to continue to wear face masks or not. The wearing of face masks is no longer a mandatory requirement when visiting our lodge but if guests feel more comfortable wearing them then please continue to do so, it is your own personal choice.
Your room is your private sanctuary during your stay. We will be entering as little as possible. If you require fresh towels or have a need to have your room cleaned, inform a member of our team and we will get right onto it. Otherwise, we will leave you in your own private space during your stay. Our usual strict standard of housekeeping and cleaning will be adhered to between guests visits and all surfaces and fabrics will be sanitised.
Your first night meal is staggered and outdoors during the sunny months. Long table dining is a group affair. If you feel you would like to eat separately please let us know in advance and we can book a separate area for dining. As we have over an acre of space and a small number of guests, there is an abundance of space for everyone to enjoy their stay in safety and comfort.
Guests may cancel up to 72 hours prior to your check-in date, based on a 3 pm check-in time. When a cancellation has been confirmed guests will receive an email we will refund the booking. For cancellations within 72 hours of your arrival or no shows, a guests credit card will be charged for one night’s accommodation. If a “non-refundable” rate is booked, then we are unable to refund the booking.
For peace of mind If a booking is cancelled during the cancellation period due to a government COVID related travel restriction, guests will be credited with the amount of the booking for a future stay or chose a refund.
Credit card details will be required on arrival and held on the system to cover any damage to the property during your stay with us. The cancellation policy applies to all reasons for cancellation. The Wicklow escape is not responsible for any forces of nature that may cause the hirer to cancel or any government directives to close. If for any other reason The elbowroom escape has to cancel a booking, a full refund will be given.
